Juli Waters Therapy: About Me

Hi, I’m Juli Waters.

I have been a professional therapist specializing in trauma since 2008. I do this work because I believe that every person has the innate ability to heal and grow. It is my sincere honor to walk with my clients on this journey we all share toward internal acceptance, balance, and belonging.

I specialize in working with clients with symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and PTSD. I have an eclectic approach using traditional cognitive-based therapy, combined with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems(IFS), and Somatic work. I have noticed that these approaches work well for some clients, and some clients still feel stuck. I have explored the research and powerful results being produced around psychedelic medicine. I sought out training to expand my knowledge and how they can help with various mental health conditions and have shifted my approach in this direction. I believe psychedelics can be a powerful medicine if used in the appropriate way and paired with supportive counseling.

If you are curious about psychedelics or you are ready to have a professional therapist, I’m here for you.

Now offering Ketamine Assisted Therapy

Free Consultations Available

Ketamine is the first legally prescribed psychedelic that can be used for psychedelic therapy in Colorado.

Ketamine is safe, effective, and legal medicine that has been used for decades to lift the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other conditions. Ketamine is well-researched and is considered an essential medicine by the World Health Organization.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is the process of combining the medicine (ketamine) with the work of a trained psychedelic therapist. The combination of using the medicine as a tool, along with the relationship and guidance of the therapist is what makes this treatment extremely effective.

  • Ketamine is a dissociative, and creates a sense of feeling detached from the body and overall sense of self. Most clients experience this as pleasant and interesting. The ketamine experience is different for each client, but clients report any of the following experiences: pleasant body sensations, a sense of relaxation, shifts in the emotional experiences, and a dream like state, which can include visual experiences.

  • You have done talk therapy in the past and still feel “stuck”

You have chronic treatment resistant depression and have tried medication, talk therapy, or other modalities to address depression
